Welcome to Miss Kym's Music Place
Miss Kym’s Music Place is an original children’s series created by Kymberly Stewart that combines music, puppetry, humor and social-emotional learning. The show follows music teacher Miss Kym and her students CJ, CoCo, Sadie and Manny as they navigate everyday childhood experiences involving friendship, feelings, imagination and problem-solving. Each episode features original music that helps children understand and remember its message.
My Story
I created Miss Kym’s Music Place because I saw a need for thoughtful children’s entertainment that is joyful and funny while still supporting children’s emotional and social development. As a child, I was deeply influenced by shows such as Sesame Street, The Electric Company and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Their characters, stories and especially their music stayed with me long after I watched them.
Those childhood experiences are the driving force behind Miss Kym’s Music Place. I want to give today’s children that same sense of joy, comfort and connection while telling stories about situations that are relevant to their lives now. My firsthand experience as a preschool music teacher helps me understand how children respond to everyday challenges, work through big feelings and learn to relate to one another. My hope is that children will carry the songs, characters and lessons of Miss Kym’s Music Place with them—just as the programs I loved have remained with me.
